Frequently Asked Questions About the Duzi™/ Mabu™ Cloth

Q. What is the Duzi (Mabu) Multi Cloth made from?

A. The Duzi/Mabu Multi Cloth is made from 100% natural & sustainable wood pulp fiber!

Q.  Why is the Duzi (Mabu) stiff when first used?

A.  Duzi/Mabu is stiffened with natural corn starch for manufacturing & presentation purposes.  This harmless & edible starch is easily rinsed out under warm water before using for the first time.

Q.  Why is the Duzi (Mabu) bacteria resistant?

A.  In fact, Duzi/Mabu picks up germy messes extremely well, but as accredited laboratory tests prove, the Duzi’s unique 8 layer open weave design allows bacteria to be cleanly released when rinsed.

Q.  Why does the Duzi (Mabu) not retain odors?

A.  Your old cleaning cloths & sponges smell mustly and moldy because they trap and incubate bacteria.  Duzi’s unique rinsability takes away that odor source and allows this amazing cloth to smell fresh after literally hundreds of cleanups!  Germs & odors can even be rinsed away after days at the bottom of a sink, however it is always recommended to rinse out all debris after each use.  As we all know,  standard dishcloths will hold those sour smells even after soap and soaking… and those smells are a warning of an unhealthy situation!

Q. What can I do when Duzi (Mabu) gets a stubborn stain?

A. All wiping cloths can stain.  A unique quality of the Duzi/Mabu is that most stains simply rinse out after a soak in soap or detergent water.  A few drops of bleach can always be used to remove those very stubborn stains and return your Duzi to sparkling white.

Q. Is the Duzi (Mabu) machine washable?

A. Yes. In fact for convenience throw your Duzi/Mabu in with the whites.  Although putting your Duzi in the dryer will not affect any of the unique qualities, high heat will shrink it slightly and reduce its life.  Therefore we recommend air drying or machine drying on “no” or “low” heat settings.
